Visit Exeter between the 15 – 17 June to see the giant inflatable RedBall on its UK tour. This large-scale public art will appear in various locations across the city and is guaranteed to surprise and entertain!
RedBall is one of many cultural events taking place in Exeter this summer. Other, not to be missed events include, ‘Exeter Respect’ (2 – 3 June), Ignite Theatre Festival (25 June – 7 July), the 8th UK Taiko Festival (29 – 30 June), Exeter Craft Festival (20 – 21 July) and Acoustica 2012 (14 – 15 September).
The city is also home to a number of fascinating visitor attractions including Exeter Cathedral, the Underground Passages, free Red Coat Guided Tours and the newly re-opened Royal Albert Memorial Museum, taking visitors on a voyage of discovery from Exeter all around the world. Alternatively pay a visit to the Historic Quayside, where attractions include the Quay House Visitor Centre, Quay Climbing Centre and Saddles and Paddles for bike and canoe hire.
Exeter is firmly on the map as a great shopping destination. Divided in to distinct shopping quarters, there’s a great choice of big name stores, as well as a host of chic independent stores to choose from, selling everything from must-have fashion to unique and unusual gifts and accessories.
